Is this home safe for babies or children?
This vacation rental is not suitable for babies. However, it is safe for children. There are no baby gates, cribs, or high chairs provided .Parents should take extra precautions to ensure their safety.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in our vacation rental. We understand that they are part of the family, but we want to keep the rental clean and pet-free for all of our guests. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for understanding.
Are there any additional cleaning fees or other fees?
At The Herons' Cottage, there is a cleaning fee associated with each rental. This fee covers the cost of cleaning the cottage and preparing it for the next guests. The cleaning fee is $150 and is non-refundable. Additionally, there may be fees for any damage. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us to get more information.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking/vaping is strictly prohibited in our vacation rental. This includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes, and any other type of smoking device. Guests that are found smoking in the rental will be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be issued. We kindly ask that guests respect this policy and refrain from smoking on the property. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Is there access to the entire property?
Yes, guests have access to the entire property, with the exception of the basement and garage. All other areas of the property, including the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces are available for guest use. Guests can take advantage of all the amenities, such as the hammock, grill, firepit, and outdoor patio. The property also has a fully-equipped kitchen and a laundry room. We provide complimentary linens and towels for guests to use during their stay.
Is parking available?
There are two parking spaces available right outside of the cottage's door. Please note this is a shared driveway and the main driveway needs to be kept clear of any vehicles.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Guests are asked to check in after 4 p.m. EST and check out before 10 a.m. EST. Upon arrival, guests will be provided with a code to access the vacation rental. Please remember to check out on time so that our cleaning staff can properly prepare the rental for the next guests. We hope you enjoy your stay with us.
Are parties allowed?
Unfortunately, parties are not allowed in our vacation rental. We ask all guests to respect our quiet and peaceful atmosphere, and to respect the privacy of the neighbors. We ask that all guests keep noise levels to a minimum at all times. We also ask that guests refrain from hosting large gatherings or events at the rental. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we believe it is in the best interests of everyone to ensure a pleasant stay for all. Thank you for understanding.
How close are the neighbors?
This vacation rental is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, so you can expect your neighbors to be close. The property is unique in the sense that it shares a driveway with the neighbors and is a separate property within the neighbor's property.
